A female college student has reportedly killed herself after her undressed video footage spread in the city. Police recovered the body of the 22-year-old college girl, a third-year student of Barbarism Mohammedan College, from a house at the city's Lech Shah Road on Monday night where she and her husband lived. Her husband blamed her classmate Nazrul Islam for taking the indecent video footage and publicizing it. "Nazrul and my wife were good friends. Somehow he recorded a unclothed video of her in his mobile and spread it through mobile phones," he told bdnews24.com. He said, "We had a plan to take legal steps against Nazrul after her third-year final exams but she committed suicide out of humiliation as neighbors started whispering about it." Confirming the video release, officer in-charge of Catwalk Model Police Station Jahangir Hussein told bdnews24.com that a complaint was lodged against Nazrul. They said they will start an investigation into the matter.
